The Paris Apartment

The Paris Apartment was a collaborative exhibition honoring my late Mother-In-Law, Suzanne L’Hostis Abramo. The exhibit featured her fabulous collection of vintage posters used originally to decorate her apartment in Paris more than 70 years ago. Suzanne’s collections and style have consistently played a big part in my work, as they reflect her travels around the world and her love for art and objects. While creating the accompanying ceramic art, I was drawn to shapes, colors, and textures found in many of the posters and worked to emulate some of those visuals. Along with Mother Nature, Suzanne has always been one of my biggest inspirations. I’m very grateful to have had her in my life.
